How to use this tool
- Add a quote number, issue date, due or validity date, business details and customer address. Add a logo if needed.
- Describe each service or product and enter its quantity and unit price. Choose the currency and fill in applicable discount, tax and shipping amounts.
- Review the scope, amounts and dates. Download the PDF and communicate any acceptance or payment terms with the customer.
Example: a small service quotation
Two units at 100 each produce a subtotal of 200. A 10% discount reduces it to 180. Applying a 5% tax to that discounted subtotal adds 9. With shipping or delivery of 10, the total is 199. The calculator applies discount before tax; confirm that this ordering matches your pricing requirements.
| Component | Calculation | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Subtotal | 2 × 100 | 200.00 |
| Discount | 10% of 200 | −20.00 |
| Tax | 5% of 180 | 9.00 |
| Shipping | Entered amount | 10.00 |
| Total | 180 + 9 + 10 | 199.00 |
What to check before you export
- Tax percentages are entered manually. The generator does not determine tax rates or verify jurisdiction-specific invoicing requirements.
- Currency selection controls amounts and rounding; it does not convert prices.
- Check long descriptions, logos and non-Latin text in the downloaded PDF. A quote does not automatically become an accepted order or a payment record.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add my logo?
Yes. Add a supported logo image in the workspace and review its placement in the PDF preview.
What is the difference between a quote and an estimate?
Businesses use these terms differently: an estimate commonly expresses an expected cost, while a quote often specifies an offered price. State your scope, assumptions and validity clearly when sharing the document.
Can I change the currency?
Yes. Select from the currency list before entering and reviewing prices. The amounts are not automatically converted from another currency.
